Napier Cup 2018 (12th and 13th May)

Today and yesterday I played in the Napier Cup. The Napier Cup is a 36 hole individual stableford competition played over two days. The first day I played really well and shot a 72 (+2 gross/39 points) and today I shot a 79 (+9 gross/32 points) which wasn't as good. However, overall I came 4th which I was pleased with.

Terry Gosden Strokeplay Championships

Today I played in the Terry Gosden Strokeplay Championships. It was another bad day at the office. I played some awful golf and some decent golf, however, the end result was a No Return!!!

April Monthly Medal

Today, I played in the April monthly medal. I didn't play well at all and shot an 85 gross!

John Strong Cup!

Berkshire GC with the Coach

Today I saw Charlie at the Berkshire. My Dad and I arrived an hour before our tee time (as usual) so I could warm up. Unfortunately, it was raining quite heavily and had been previous days, so the course was very wet. Despite the bad weather we went out and played. It turned out to be really enjoyable as I beat Charlie 4&2 (which has never happened before) and played really well. I shot +3 gross around the slightly harder blue course.

Practice Round During Feb Half-Term

This week is February half-term and today I played a round at TGGC. This was my third round of the year and also my best round so far this year. I shot a 73 which is +3 gross and -2 nett. I played pretty well

5th Winter League Match VS Kevin Ramage and Cornelis Mostert

Today Tim and I played our final match of the Winter League 2018 group stages against Kevin Ramage and Cornelis Mostert. Unfortunately, we lost 2&1. Tim and I didn't play too well, however, Kevin and Cornelis played well and had a slight advantage with some shots. Overall, it was a fun match and we're through to the play offs!

My Captains Day!

Today was my Captains day! Originally, it was supposed to take place in April and its now December! There was a good turn out of people in the end and it was a really enjoyable day. It was a great way to cap off an amazing year as the Tidworth Garrison Golf Club Junior Captain! Well done to Max Wrixon and Matt Pritchett for winning.

Christmas Day!

Today is Christmas Day! No golf today, hanging out with the family, playing games, eating food and opening presents!!

Birthday Round at Tidworth with Dad!

Today my Dad and I played at my home club Tidworth for my 18th birthday! I had a great time even if it was extremely cold! I played OK and shot 1 over (gross) front 9 but unfortunately let it go on the back 9 and was 5 over. So, I ended up shooting 76 but in the cold and wind I will settle with that!

My 18th Birthday!

Today it was my 18th birthday! I had a great day and received lots of cards and really nice presents. My Mum and Dad got me some Under Armour clothing and Harold Swash, Visio Putting aids which are great! Tomorrow we're going out for my birthday meal and also playing a round of golf with my Dad.

4th Winter League Match VS Max and Harry

Today Tim and I played against my two good friends Max and Harry. Tim and I received 2 shots and Harry got 1. It was a great match which went all the way to the 17th (Tim and I knew it would be close!). We ended up winning 2&1 but it was a very close game! I played really well and shot a 70 (level par).

3rd Winter League Match VS Dave and John

Today Tim and I played against Dave Snedden and John Graham in the Winter League. It was a great match which went down the 18th. Tim and I were 3 down going into the last 5 holes. We both birdied the 14th to get back to 2 down, we both pared the 15th which meant it stayed at 2 down, Tim birdied 16, I birdied 17 and Tim birdied 18. We ended up with a half! Overall a great result! Currently we have played 3 games and have 2 wins and a half.

2nd Winter League Match VS Russ and Darren

Today Tim and I played our 2nd winter league match against Russ and Darren. It was a great match that was pretty close throughout the whole round. Tim and I won 2&1! A great result against a tough pair!

November Monthly Stableford!

Today I played in the November stableford with Mike Cripps and Mike Tuck. I played quite well but only had 35 points which 76 gross. I hit 12/18 greens which is pretty good, however, my putting was awful (36 putts!). The good thing is I stayed in my buffer zone!

Presentation Evening!

This evening I attended the end of year presentation! I went to receive my trophies for the Champions' Salver (1/10/17) and Division 1 Medal Slaver. However, I didn't know that I was also going there for the Hannah Turland trophy for leading the junior section as Junior Captain. It was a great evening and I hope to be back there next year.
