The Quaich Cup! (First round back after 4th lot of surgery!)

Today I played my first round back after a surgery. The Quaich Cup is a competition between the juniors, seniors, and ladies, we play in three balls and the person with the most amount of stableford points gets 3 points, 2nd place gets 2 points and 3rd place gets 1 point. Unfortunately, the juniors lost (seniors won), however, I managed to get my 3 points and play quite well. I shot a 75 which is +5 gross and level handicap. Considering I was in hospital just 4 days ago I did very well!

1st Winter League Match VS Willy and Keith

Today Tim and I played our 1st Winter league match against Keith Harley (13) and William McDermott (4). We won 2&1 we both played some good golf but need to bring our A games for our next 2 games! 

Practice round at Marlborough Golf Club (For the Cup Final) Ft. the cup result

Today the three man knock out team played Marlborough for a practice round before the cup final next weekend. The team consisted of Mia (12), Phoenix (11), and myself (5). It was a great insight into the course because had only played it once before and that was 3 years ago! Unfortunately, I had an operation on the Thursday before the cup final which meant we were 1 point down at the start of the match. The end result was 3-0 to Wragbarn, however it was a great experience for the other two juniors as they had never been in that situation before. It was vital experience for next year when they play in the junior team!

Champions' Salver 2017!

Today I played in the Champions' Salver with Ken Howell and Mark Prendeville. Although the weather wasn't great (windy and overcast), I still managed to shoot a new PB of 68 gross! (Nett 62). I ended up winning by 5 shots and had two 2s at £42 each! Overall a great day! It just proves that practice does really pay off!

Tidworth Junior Open!

Today I played in the Tidworth junior open. Unfortunately, I shot an 80 (+10 gross and +5 nett), however it was only two holes that let me down, the 11th which a double bogeyed and 12th which I quadruple bogeyed. Overall, it was a fun day, just a shame about the score!

The Presidents Cup 2017

Today I played in the Presidents Cup with Den Waites and Mark Williams (AKA a great 3 ball!). We were the very last tee time at 13:00 and the weather was awful! Rain and 18mph wind!! I was +6 gross going into the loop (the last 4 holes) and bogeyed 15 and 16. Now +8 with 2 holes to go (need to finish with two birdies to be in buffer zone). I hit it to 2ft on 17 for birdie and pull my drive left down 18, I had 140 to the pin and ripped a gap wedge to about 10ft and rolled the putt in. I managed to finish on +6 and stay in my buffer zone. Overall, a great day with a great result and great company!

September Monthly Medal!

Today, I played in the September monthly medal. I shot a 77 which is +7 gross and +2 nett. I didn't play great however, I managed to birdie the last and the CCS went up 1 which meant I didn't go up 0.1!
